Kitchen

Superior sun

Wonderous Waterfalls

Marvelous Mountains

Pretty Plains

Forever moving,

growing,

emptying,

changing.

Never the same; Never plain; Never dull; Changing forever more.

This poem is one I wrote in middle school (11/7/02) to practice descriptions. Below try describing a place you see every day without using typical descriptors. For example, although I was describing a kitchen I never used words like: sink, floor, light, etc. Instead I used “mountains”, “plains”, and “sun” as metaphors replacing those typical items.
